Garlic & Parmesan Plant Chicken Wings

Breaded with Outstanding Foods’ Garlic Parmesan Cheese Balls, these wings are perfectly crispy, irresistibly flavorful, and sure to satisfy your snack cravings.

Plant Chicken Wings

  • 1 pouch Daring Original Plant Chicken Pieces, thawed
  • 2 1.5 oz pkgs Outstanding Foods Garlic & Parmesan Cheese Balls
  • 1 large egg (or ¾ cup plant-based egg substitute), beaten
  • Parsley for garnishing

Dipping Sauce

  • 1 cup olive oil
  • ½ cup milk (or soy milk substitute)
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Step 1

Thaw Daring Original Plant Chicken Pieces in refrigerator overnight.

Step 2

To make the aioli, place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high for 30 seconds. Scrape the edges and blend again for another 30 seconds. Set aside.

Step 3

Directly in the Outstanding Foods bags (or in a bowl) crush up cheese balls into a semi-fine powder for breading. In another bowl, add your egg or vegan egg substitute and whisk until fully beaten.

Step 4

Dip Plant Chicken pieces into the egg mixture and then roll in the breading mixture until well-coated. Repeat this process a second time, dipping the same piece into the egg substitute, then into the breading mixture again. Allow any excess ingredients to fall off into each bowl.

Step 5

Heat a sauté pan on medium heat and add 1/4“ of vegetable oil to 350°F (177°C). Place your hand breaded Daring wings into pan and shallow fry 4 minutes. Flip and cook for another 4 minutes until golden brown on both sides (ensure wings are heated throughout to 165°F / 74°C). Remove fried Plant Chicken to a wire rack set over paper towels to drain.

Step 6

Serve with vegan aioli and garnish with finely chopped parsley if desired.
